Our programs are based on each child’s social, emotional, intellectual, and physical developmental needs. Each child will receive a learning material that will challenge them but not be so hard they just give up . Their peers will be encouraged to help, if needed, as it always easier to learn from another child.

Infant
Our infant programs provides a safe, loving, environment for children 6 weeks of age and up. Caregivers take special care to meet each child's needs and offer individualized attention by interacting with each child throughout the day. We encourage the infants to move through the developmental stages in a natural progression.

Toddler - 2
These years mark a period of rapid growth and development. Our program offers activities that encourage children to experiment, discover and learn about their environment. Your toddler will be learning to master skills such as running, balancing, climbing, working simple puzzles and stringing beads. They will learn to eat with utensils, use basic manners, form relationships with others, enjoy short stories, follow simple instructions and rules and begin building problem solving.

Curriculum
The children at The Kid Cave Learning Center enjoy a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate. We use curriculum guidelines for what activities are appropriate for each age and stage of development. The knowledge of the typical development of children within each age span provides a framework from which our teachers prepare the learning environment and plan specific experiences. Children’s play is a primary tool for and is an indicator of their development. Therefore, child initiated, child directed, and teacher supported play is an essential component of our program. Our curriculum is guided by the recommendations of The Creative Curriculum, www.creativecurrclum.com and the Michigan Department of Education Early Standards of Quality. Each day’s routine
promises activities that allow your child time to grow, room to explore, experiment, discover, and play. TKC provides a program of daily activities and relationships that offer opportunities for the developmental growth of each child in all the following areas:
• Physical development, including fine and gross motor skills
• Social development, including communication skills
• Emotional development, including positive self-concept
• Intellectual development in our Infant Program, the daily routine is determined by the individual needs and developmental level of each child.
